Decisions-Decisions-Decisions

Which way do you go when you don’t know where to go?

following God's path

Dorothy: Now which way do we go?
Scarecrow: Pardon me. That way is a very nice way…[pointing]
Dorothy: Who said that?
[Toto barks at the Scarecrow]
Dorothy: Don’t be silly, Toto. Scarecrows don’t talk!
Scarecrow: It’s pleasant down that way too!…[pointing in another direction]
Dorothy: That’s funny. Wasn’t he pointing the other way?
Scarecrow: Of course, people do go both ways [pointing in both directions] That’s the trouble. I can’t make up my mind. I haven’t got a brain. Only straw.
Dorothy: How can you talk if you haven’t got a brain?
The Scarecrow: I don’t know. But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking, don’t they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you’re right.

What do you do when you don’t know what to do?

Sometimes I feel just like Dorothy traveling down the yellow brick road. And all my directions seem to lead me in one confusing circle after another. I have been told to go one way and then I think I see a sign leading me in another. I know if I can just make it to Emerald City things will work out. Yet, all of my attempts to get there myself just keep leading me into more confusion.

Has anyone else ever felt like that?

What does the bible say about confusion? “That it is not of God.”

So, if we are feeling confused and confounded this year, trying to figure out which road to take to lead us into our new place. It is not by Him. Let’s take a second, stop what we are doing and be still enough to listen. If we can become still, we can hear him speak. His voice is quiet and comforting. It gives us peace and rest in uncertain areas of our life. He leads us beside still water the scriptures assure us.

This year as we contemplate all the many powerful proclamations that have gone forth and we attempt to move into this new season before us. Let us not forget that we should first still ourselves in Him and gain the confidence, bearing and precise directives to move ahead in power.

It is a year of making bold steps and big decisions that will lead to what for many of us has been long overdue in coming. But we will need the wisdom from on high to access this next level.

Our personal insight, knowledge, and information were only able to take us so far. In this new decade, those old ways will be obsolete. We are going to have to switch to auto pilot and allow Him to take the lead as never before.

It will be discombobulating at first as we get used to a new normal. But the old saying “You can’t get there from here”, falls into play. I know it’s a big year and yes, it’s an important decade. But we can’t try to shoulder the responsibility of making it happen based on our own ideas alone.

The beautiful city lies before us, shining in the sun. We have seen it for so long and now it is within our reach. The road winds ahead filled with blessings and favor.

Yes, there is much to do! And much to finally put into play.

Decisions, decisions, decisions!

Remember, it is not by might. It is not by power but by my spirit says the Lord!!
