Taking the Plunge

Taking the Plunge

Today was a first for me. I did nothing. Well, of course, I did many things but nothing related to money-making, pitching projects or work, work, work; my middle name. It was secretly quite refreshing, and something that I dare say I could get used to. I am certainly not suggesting that I want to slide off into the abyss of slothfulness or become a slacker. Nor do I want to wind up wandering my hallways at 2 pm in my grandmother’s old caftan. Which by the way is actually pretty snazzy.

But what I would like to do is more of what I love and what gives me joy. I would like to begin to use my gifts to make others happy and seize the opportunity to lean into my other side and indulge the sectors of my spirit that I often ignore. I am a writer, and while I have used that in the past to make a good living for myself, it has not been the kind of writing that I aspire to pen. I am jumping off a cliff here albeit it a beautiful one but a chasm none the less and starting a blog. Great authors have always admonished blossoming writers to write about what they know – that which is most familiar and comfortable.

So, with that in mind, here I go. I am jumping right now. You are invited to join in and indulge me while I figure this whole thing out.
